what
We are a company that specializes in converting any vehicle in to a mobile home on wheels, separate mobile office or living space, restaurant, salon, business etc. We have lots of ideas and goals to help people realize their vision of a mobile [insert business here]. What exactly do we mean by that / what are our goals for your project?
Power itself. Solar / battery is very important to us (and you), so we add as much solar / battery power as we can fit. Modern day living requires more devices, more charging, more internet and easier access to electricity using things like USB-C ports, wireless charging pads, dimmable lights - everywhere.

Heat and cool itself efficiently. We always have 👀 on new HVAC products and our goal is to be able to effortlessly heat and cool your indoor space using solar power alone! You'll get a shore power cord anyway. We also use smart thermostats and other gadgets to make all of this as automatic as possible.

Push the boundaries. Just because every other RV in the universe looks and acts the same, you don't have to be bound by that same legacy design, layout and style. Bring us new ideas, we love challenges. We will for sure bring them to you!
Have all the bells and whistles. We add storage to every nook and cranny. Everything is rediculously accessible to work on. USB ports everywhere, standing desks, indefinitely free drinking water, mood lighting, satelitte internet, refuge. Please do ask for the moon! The ability to deliver your dreams is usually only constrained by your check book, not our abilities!
why

The letters in HALV are very intentional and represent our core values on every project. We design and build tiny homes that will:

  • (heirloom) last for a very, very long time
  • (apocalypse) be as self-sufficient as possible (solar power, water filtration, smart HVAC)
  • (luxury) look professional and clean, be functional, comfortable and catered to your (life)style
  • (vehicles) most of the times be on wheels (although not required)
  • ... but most importantly it will:
  • be a reflection of you and your style
the guy
who

Your future builder / "engineer" guy: Adam started designing and building small mobile spaces in 2019. Since then, he's developed a passion for creating and iterating on small spaces to work best for the people that are going to use them. He's always calling himself an "engineer" (in quotes) because he actually studied computer science. Adam was inspired by Japanese culture during travels there by their integrity and approach to craftsmanship and intense attention to detail.

Having grown up in the trades within a family of carpenters some of the required skills came naturally, but others took time, education and practice to acquire. Adam takes pride in doing all of the work including overall functional layout, electrical design and wiring, plumbing, installing appliances etc. - himself (aside from making it look good, which his wife Anna does). We believe that the overall end result of the build process is better when there is less time communicating changes between multiple people and more importantly: iteration happens faster. In small spaces the first idea often doesn't work out like you thought, and requires a verion 2 or 3, or 5. At the end of the build process, we bring every project to a local certified RV mechanic for safety inspection of the vehicle and all systems before delivering the vehicle.

imogene
background

Imogene is a 1979 Airstream Excella II that was purchased as a family RV with no real intentions to rennovate much. Long story short, this Airstream is now a fully-equipped technological home on wheels that supports a family of 4 for long-term vacations / remote work.

Imogene was the name of the hardest thing Adam had ever done - which was running 17.2 miles from 8 to 13 thousand feet and back down over the Imogene pass road from Ouray to Telluride Colorado. That was until building this Airstream - so it seemed a fitting name.

differentiating features

- 44 inch wide hallway throughout the entire Airstream.
- 8 cu. ft. Dometic fridge with freezer
- 2 completely flexible spaces. The front can be a 8 person dinette or a cal king bed. The rear can be 4 bunks or a 8 person bench table.
- electrical updates, almost totally re-wired including cell phone signal booster, high quality custom standing desk, wireless charging pads
- tankless hot water heater and custom shower that is as large as possible
